When watching the coverage of Atlanta Falcon's quarterback Michael Vick, it is hard to sum up my feelings. I find myself disgusted, angry, confused and embarrassed. The first ten minutes of my local news today (and the past few days) was coverage of Vick and the dog fighting scandal. Sure they'd already told us there were a few murders, fatal accidents and Amber alerts, but we'd have to hear about those after the breaking news, "Michael Vick Pleads Innocent to Dog Fighting Charges". This was only further confirmation that America houses some of the stupidest, most brainwashed people on the face of the earth. This blog isn't about whether or not it's good or bad to fight dogs. IT'S WRONG! It isn't about whether or not you think Vick is guilty. Furthermore, it isn't about "animals are people too" because THEY JUST AREN'T! This blog is about me showing you how prejudice, hypocritical, ignorant, insane, biased, retarded, and outright foolish it is to make dog fighting ALLEGATIONS one of America's top stories.

BOXING - Here is a society that will take two humans, put them in a ring and pay hundreds of dollars for ringside ($49.99 pay per view) to watch them beat the living daylights out of each other. The more vicious each blow to the head, the more excited we become. And when someone finally pounds another's brain long enough, we erupt as that man goes plummeting to the canvass and is knocked unconscious. Who cares about traumatic brain injury, deaths, or the other long term effects of boxing? As long as it's in a supervised ring, beating the crap out of a person is a government sanctioned sport that we love. But how dare someone put dogs in a supervised ring and let them fight. The government hasn't sanctioned that so Michael Vick should loose his career and this story should make headlines everyday. If you believe that, you are a brainwashed puppet of the Sneaky Government and you fall under the insane and retarded categories. They have you convinced that the life of a dog is more important than that of a human. (BTW - I love boxing) 

NHL HOCKEY – I think this is a good place to talk about the blatant bias, racism, and prejudice that exist in America. You can close you eyes, turn your head, and ignore this section if you must. The problem will still be there when you decide to deprogram yourself from the sneaky government myth that "all men are equal". Have you noticed a lot of professional hockey players are missing teeth? Did you ever wonder why? It's because they too beat the crap out of each other night in and night out. It's a part of the game fans look forward to as they share popcorn and hot dogs with their kids. The referees even step back and let the players fight until they are too tired to swing anymore. What does America say about that? Nada? It's all a part of the game. But what happens when a sport dominated by black men (NBA) has a fight once every other year? America gets outraged, players are called thugs and the local law enforcement presses charges. Need I say anymore? No, but I shall.

How about ex-Atlanta Thrasher Hockey player Dan Heatley? He gets drunk one night and then crashes his car killing his teammate. One may figure Heatley may be in jail right now. Nope! You may even think he lost his career, right? Nope! Heatley spent little to no time in jail and he is currently making more money than you and I playing hockey in the NHL. Where was America's outrage? Where were the marches and picketing at the NHL Headquarters demanding he loose his career? Oh please! Heatley is a white man, in a white sport where fighting is accepted and sanctioned. He only killed a person. Michael Vick may have killed some dogs and may have had the others fighting. However, he hasn't even been charged and already has been suspended and most likely won't play a game this year. My friends, something is not right and you are smart enough to know what it is.

GRASSROOTS - Is Michael Vick a thug? Perhaps! Did he just recently become a thug? No sir! He grew up in the projects and was a thug when he walked on the campus of West Virginia University. It wasn't a secret, but who cared? He was a talented, athletic thug who took his team to the national championship game in his freshman year. America likes thugs who can make a basket, carry a football and help their team win. Like Vick, their adolescent criminal activity is always covered up. University alumni (aka Boosters) help the University sweep legal infractions under the rug and illegally give money, cars and women to talented thugs. Meanwhile these thugs don't have to do an ounce of classroom work if they desire not to. Grades will be manipulated to help ensure these thugs stay eligible. College sports is a multi-million dollar business and winning by any means necessary is the name of the game.

So Vick, like many other college athlete thugs, grew up in a system that was more interested in his skills on the field than the character of the man behind the talent. And before he can barely hit the legal drinking age, millions of dollars are thrown his way to continue winning at a professional level. Congratulations America! You have just made another thug a millionaire that you adore and expect to be a role model for your child. Have we lost our stupid minds? How dare you be surprised, shocked, and appalled about alleged dog fighting allegations? America as a whole should be indicted for not teaching morals and ethical behavior when these guys were teens. All we do is support a notion that talent can prevail over bad judgment, immoral character, and reckless living. That is until your time is up and the next Lebron James and Reggie Bush hit the scenes.

CONCLUSION - America is turning into a sick, demented society. Hypocrisy is in our left hand, bias is in our right hand, and prejudice is sitting in our laps. When do we wake up and stop allowing ourselves to be controlled by the Sneaky Government and the machine they use to brainwash…..THE MEDIA? There are many reasons this story has no business on the front page of our newspapers and in the top stories of our newscast. DARE TO SPEAK YOUR MIND?!
